The audience were asked to come in “Dolce Vita Style”, what an amazing setting in Capri for the Alta Moda Winter 2014-15 last friday.
Some models came in by boat onto a setting that was so magical with its rocky natural scenery. Theatrical ball gowns with hand painted patterns, florals, embroidery, fur and illustrations of the Capri coastline were the highlights in the show. Such an amazing night, so very different to the catwalk hype of the Parisian shows. A dramatic Bride, arriving by by boat at dusk with fireworks, turning day into night…. take me away please.
Domenico Dolce said of the collection: “It is about this place, Capri: our ultimate fantasy version of it. We put all of our efforts into making everything in the collection unique. There is only one of each item available to buy. And as well as being about the clothes, in Alta Moda we try and communicate a total feeling, a complete emotion in the show.”
